Dr. Adolf K.Y. Ng obtained his PhD from University of Oxford, UK. His core research interests include: (i) port governance and competition; (ii) maritime security (notably port security) and piracy; (iii) maritime education; (iv) transport geography and regional development. In 2008 and 2009, he served as the Co-Chairman of the international transport and logistics conference - The International Forum on Shipping, Ports and Airports (IFSPA), as well as a member of the International Steering Committee of IAME 2008. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Logistics and Maritime Studies, Faculty of Business, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong. Adolf is also a member of IAME (elected Council members since 2010) and the Port Performance Research Network (PPRN).
