Evangelia (Vicky) Kaselimi is a port economist currently working on her Ph.D. project on port competition under the supervision of prof. dr. Theo Notteboom and as a research associate within the ITMMA group, University of Antwerp. Her scientific interests concentrate on port economics & policy with focus on the relationship between container terminal scale and intra port competition. Her research has been funded by a scholarship from the Hellenic State Scholarships Foundation (IKY) since in 2006 she gave exams and won a scholarship to conduct a research project that will lead to a Ph.D. thesis.

Vicky is also an employee at the Hellenic Ministry of Development, Competitiveness and Shipping since 2003. She is working in the General Secretariat of Ports and Port Policy, Division of Public Port Supervision, Directorate of Port Management & Operations, responsible for the coordination and supervision of greek Port Authorities on organizational, administrative and economic issues.

Vicky has presented the progress of her research work at the recent conferences of the International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME) and European Conference on Shipping & Ports (ECONSHIP).

Vicky holds a BSc from the department of Maritime Studies, University of Piraeus, Greece (1999) and an MBA with specialization in logistics & transport management, Athens University of Economics & Business, Greece (2001). She is a founding member of PortEconomics.eu a web-based initiative aiming to advance knowledge exchange on port economics, management and policies.
