PortEconomics @ IACP Days 2011 Antwerp workshop on economic development and stakeholders

PortEconomics associate member Dr. Michaël Dooms introduced and moderated a workshop on economic development and stakeholders at the IACP-AIVP Days 2011 in Antwerp, June 10th. The session took place in the 'Darwin Room' at the Antwerp zoo. Three issues were introduced and discussed: the access to resources (labour issues), the license to operate, and the need for long-term planning for sustainable development. Michaël Dooms was joined by Frits Luijten, Coordinator Labour Market from Deltalinqs, Marc De Witte, Business Development Manager from Nova Natie and Philippe Demoulin, General Manager of Lillo Port Centre.
