Interoceanic Canals and World Seaborne trade: Past, Present and Future

PortEconomics member Theo Notteboom is one of the members of the local organizing committee of the international conference "Interoceanic Canals and World Seaborne Trade: Past , Present and Future", Brussels, 21 – 23 November 2011. The conference is organized by the Belgian Royal Academy of Overseas Sciences and will deal with the economic, political, social, legal and environmental aspects of inter-oceanic canals (Suez, Panama) and sea canals (Kiel, Corinth, Canso straight, Gulf Canal, etc..).
