The 9th Port Performance Research Network (PPRN) Meeting will be held in Santiago, Chile, on Tuesday 25th Ocotber 2011, the eve of the IAME 2011, at the headquarters of UNECLAC.
The Port Performance Research Network (PPRN) is an informal network of maritime economists interested in issues of port policy. It was established at the IAME 2001 meeting in Hong Kong to undertake empirical testing of port governance and is currently coordinated by Mary R. Brooks and Thanos Pallis.
Since then, PPRN has met eight times, and its members produced a summary report of port governance structures and port developments in 14 countries.
