PortEconomics cellebrated the European Maritme day 2013, which was established in May 2008 by the European Commission and gives the opportunities for activities promoting the martime sector.
PortEconomics co-director, and MedCruise secretary general, Thanos Pallis discussed the potential of the cruise sector in Greece, presenting a study entitled ‘Greek Ports & Cruise: An opportunity to benefit the Greek economy’ during the Conference “European Maritime Week: Current Trends and Challenges Ahead” that organised by the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus in cooperation with the European Parliament Office and the European Commission’s Representation Office in Athens, Greece.
Thanos participated in the second session of the second day of the Conference titled ‘EU Transport Networks & Insular Policy’ and includes a number of statistics that were first presented around Europe.
