The opening of IAME 2011 Conference, the annual meeting of maritime economists around the globe, will take place in Santiago Chile on October 25th, and a most interestening conference programme is to follow.
With over 100 full papers accepted and contributors from five continents, this year’s IAME 2011 Conference is going to be one of the outstanding events in Latin America this year. The organising team together with UN-ECLAC as host of the event are looking forward to welcoming the IAME community and supporters to this year’s event.
The current economic situation will be a key topic at this year’s conference of the International Association of Maritime Economists (IAME). Environmental issues and institutional perspectives have developed as prime topics. What are the new developments in port devolution? What are emerging business strategies in the maritime and logistics industry. These are just some topics that will be discussed.
The PortEconomics team will also be there, and actively involved in discussions on ports and other maritime issues. We look forward to welcoming you in Santiago.
