The ‘Barge to Business’ conference attracted some 300 participants from around Europe to discuss on current challenges for inland waterway transport in Europe. ENPOS co-director Theo Notteboom moderated a session on ‘Multimodal door-to-door: now or never?’. The session focused on how waterway transport can play an active role in multimodal transport around Europe. Panel members included leading managers from Euroports, Mercurius Shipping, Fluviomar, Procter & Gamble and Siemens.
