Elsevier’s science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators, developed in collaboration with Stanford University, are one of the leading sources for analyzing career-long data in different research fields.
The August 2024 update report ranks the 2% best-performing scholars of a total of more than 29,000 scientists in the primary field “Logistics & Transportation” by the so-called c-score.
Although port and maritime economics is only a sub-field, ten PortEconomics.eu members made it to the global top 580 (or 2% highest ranked) scholars in the field of ‘Logistics & Transportation’: Theo Notteboom, Jean-Paul Rodrigue, Prof Dr Jasmine S.L. Lam, Cesar Ducruet, Peter de Langen, Adolf K.Y., Pierre Cariou, Mary R Brooks, CM, Jason Monios, Thanos Pallis and yours truly. Congratulations to all!
The full ‘2% list’ of scientists in all research disciplines can be found at https://lnkd.in/dS5qpN24 which features also quite a number of other maritime economists and members of the International Association of Maritime Economists.
Disclaimer: Rankings have their limitations. If a scholar is not on the list it is simply because the composite indicator value was not high enough to appear on the list. It does not mean that the author does not do good work.
